Cura of the World

CURA for the world foundation exists for the sole purpose of serving the weak and ill in all corners of the world

Valor to Virtue have been a proud sponsor and partner of Cura of the World since it began in 2016. CURA begun because of one doctors vision of helping remote communities worldwide. CURA has one mission, to support the ‘unreachable’ communities around the globe. They achieve this by building medical clinics in remote communities as well as providing sustainable food sources and access to clean water. They have a vision to reach 30 developing nations by 2030, and will achieve this through partnerships and collaborations with likeminded organisations operating in these remote areas. CURA’s big focus is on organisations that provide care to orphans and education and/or support disadvantaged women.

It is these life-long partnerships that make Cura of the World so successful, as they bring the needed expertise, medical care, supplies and funding to neglected communities where it is most needed. CURA understands the importance of building a sustainable model that allows people to lift themselves out of poverty and this is why they work closely with local care providers and community leaders to ensure their impact is long lasting, positive and relevant.

In addition, CURA takes time to assess the needs of each community they work with, with particular focus on food sustainability and accessibility to clean water. Through these assessments, CURA is able to provide access to permaculture experts and best practices for obtaining clean water. Through education programmes, CURA teaches communities about permaculture, helping remote communities build capacity to increase their own food sovereignty, allowing communities to instead prioritize such things we take for granted, like education, allowing people to ‘dream beyond survival’.

This is why Valor to Virtue continues to financially support Cura of the World. This financial support has so far helped CURA build clinics, develop partnerships and work in countries such as Uganda, Tanzania, Democratic Republic of Congo, Peru and USA.

Specifically, Valor to Virtue’s funding has helped CURA;

  • build vital partnerships with local NGO’s in Uganda, Tanzania and Democratic Republic of Congo.
  • build medical clinics that provide care for orphaned children, widows or individuals that require medical care in Uganda, Democratic Republic of Congo and Tanzania.
  • support the work of local NGO’s that rescue abandoned and abused girls in Tanzania.
  • support and/or develop permaculture programs in Uganda and Tanzania.
